Lisbon Flip Coffee Recipe

Here the coffee is not so much a main ingredient. Rather it provides a flavorful undertone in an interesting and satisfying cocktail.

Ingredients : Serves 2

120 ml Port

45 ml Curacao

20 ml Very strong coffee

10 ml Icing (confectioner's) sugar

2 Eggs

20 ml Condensed milk

60 ml Crushed ice

Grated chocolate and orange rind shavings, to decorate

Method :

Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, including the crushed ice. Shake vigorously and serve immediately in cocktail glasses. Top with the finely grated chocolate and orange rind.


Tips : To make this drink, espresso ristretto is the strength required. Most orange-based liqueurs, such as Grand Marnier, Cointreau, Orange nassau and triple sec, could be used in place of the curacao, if not available.
